Mommies Angels Spotlight!

So for some of the newbies here and some new PRs here is a short intro to Me and Mommies Angels!

First of Hi my name is Toni! I am a stay at home mom to 6 kids 5 are biologically mine and my step daughter I am a full time mom to her since she was a year old so she is and will always be my child too. I have a 10 year old daughter who thinks she 16 and drives me crazy thinking what am I in for when she really is 16! She loves to dance and sing! I total drama queen! I have a 8 year old son. My only boy and he is a big mommas boy and I love it! He loves soccer and video games and cars! Typical boy right? Well he and my 4 yr old and 3 yr old all have a type of hemophilia so it makes him a normal boy with limits so fun! Next is my 7 yr old step daughter who is shy but sneaky! She also like to dance. Then comes my 4yr old who will be 5 in Sept. She is my hotheaded red head with a temper and the bluest crystal blue eyes ever. She is petite but can take on the world. She came into this world fighting for her life being premature and not breathing on her own but she fought and she will go out of this world fighting. She loves to dance and sing and make noise lol. Next is my Grace. She is a smart, particular little 3 yr old. She likes things in a certain way. She like to be left alone from the other kids. Give her a coloring book or a magazine or block and stay away. She like organization and is a little OCD ha ha! Last but not least is my baby. 16 month old Destiny is my last baby who decided she didn't want to be the baby so she walked at 9 months and can do everything on her own. She is a monkey loves to climb , swing, jump on and off everything. She is always happy and loves to learn. She is growing up soo much faster then the rest.
OK enough about the kids ha ha. Me i got a college degree in medical billing and started going for nursing which I hope to finish someday lol. I love medical field especially since my family and I have lots of medical issues. Honestly I could write the whole medical dictionary just with my family experiences and issues ha ha. I am a photographer! I love pictures and I cant get enough of them! I would take pictures of my kids every day if they'd let me. I love trying out new stuff and sharing. I do everything for my family which i love which means I don't get a whole of time for myself . My wish is one day for myself to be pampered at a day spa. Get my hair cut and done, nails and toes done, massage, facial, makeup done and whole makeover day just for me but until my kids are grown and I become rich that's one wish that will stay a dream. Reality is getting house clean stains out of clothes which is impossible I have come to realize, getting kids to and from their school and other activities, cooking, cleaning, photo shoots, product reviews, and more taking care of kids. That's my life! I Love It!!

Mommies Angels started for a few reasons. One to share my days with others as a mom. Also as a venting place and then a place to share all the great ideas and stuff I found and tried. Even as a child I loved trying new things and still do. If something new comes out I am always one of the first to buy it and try it. Sometimes I find the next great product and invention and other times I was wishing I never tried it! But oh well Curiosity is a powerful thing that I cant ignore ha ha. When I do find a great thing I like to share it with the family, friends and the world! So Mommies Angels is great for that. I have met some great people here and I love it and I hope to met tons more. I love hearing every ones thought and ideas and getting others words out too.

So that me, my family and my blog! Hope that intrigues you to stick around for more!

Sweets 'n' Treats review and giveaway ends aug 14

Our children love music and dance so when I got the opportunity to review Sweets 'n' Treats I was excited. We like to listen to music during dinner instead of the TV on and this was a fun one to listen to. The kids laugh and thought it was the silliest Cd. They were dancing and singing along within seconds I could tell they loved it and were having a blast listening to it. Their all time favorite song is the Nana nana boo boo song which got me giggling too. Even my 16 month old was dancing and laughing! Other favorites were Sweets 'n' Treats, Christmas in July and Stinky smoke!

I would recommend this to all parent who have kids who loves music and dancing and love to be silly! It would make a great gift for any occasion! Check it out at http://www.traceysinger.com/parents/album.html you can even hear some of the songs here http://www.traceysinger.com/parents/music.html.

Company info :

San Diego based Tracey Singer (yes, that is his real name) is a new voice on the kids’ music scene, and his debut CD comes with impressive credentials. Set for a July 7 release, Sweets ‘n’ Treats, was produced by two-time GRAMMY nominee, children’s musician Buck Howdy.A consummate professional trained in the “Great American Songbook” tradition, Tracey Singer has, for many years, enjoyed a very successful solo career as vocalist/pianist, performing pop and jazz standards in an array of settings ranging from restaurants, clubs, and performing arts centers to corporate and private events.

While maintaining quite an active performing schedule, Tracey is also an at-home dad to four children under age nine! He explains, “After one child turned into two, three, and four, the overwhelming influence that those kids had on every second of my life convinced me to turn, musically, to writing and performing music for the one audience I have come to know best – children.”

Introducing such memorable characters as Foxy Joe, Hard-Hearted Haley, and the remarkable Mall Mom, with song styles ranging from old time rock ‘n’ roll (featuring Marc Intravaia’s blazing electric lead guitar solo) to close harmony vocals reminiscent of late ‘40s Andrews Sisters (backed by the sweet and soulful sounds of the album’s resident soprano saxophonist, Tripp Sprague), Sweets ‘n’ Treats is much more than a simple, happy, pop music romp. Tracey’s wit and style shine through this album filled with sophisticated harmonies and intelligently crafted compositions. Tremendous attention to detail has resulted in such special touches as the inspiring contributions of multi-instrumentalist Dennis Caplinger, who offers brilliant work on acoustic guitar, electric guitar, banjo, mandolin, dobro, fiddle, and jaw harp. http://www.traceysinger.com/parents/album.html

Sweets 'n' Treats has offered one to one of my lucky readers! Yay!!

I got to listen to one of the neatest and funnest Cd's and it now is in my favorites collection. It is called Rock of Ages and we love it. I love the old rock. It is so upbeat and fun and makes you want to get up and dance! It is the classic rock songs mix with a little of the theatrical voices and parts of the play. It actually made it funnier and a blast to listen to. My favorite tracks out of this CD is We build this city/ too much time on my hands, I want to know what love is, and I hate myself for loving you/ heat of the moment. Even though all the songs were great! Even my husband loved it and saved it to his MP3 player to listen to at work. My mom wants to borrow it also. So it is a hit here and I think if you like Rock and roll you will love this!

plasma car review

We got the amazing chance to try out the Plasma Car and we love it! My kids love riding it and taking turns wiggling the steering wheel back and forth creating movement. To go in reverse the handle can be turned in a 180 degrees and again all it takes is a little wiggle. Then to top it off its not only for the kids, The Plasma Car can hold up to 220 lbs and adults LOVE it just as much as children. My brother in law which is in his 20's rode it too and had fun! Even my Husband wanted to try it out!
We gave it to our daughter for her birthday on Sunday and she cant get enough of it! The funny thing even my 16 month old can get on it and get it moving all by herself and thinks that is the neatest thing around. I must say when I first seen the Plasma Car I thought it was a toddler push car and once I received it and read up on it and all I seen it is for all ages. My Sister in laws son was having fun riding it too and he is 9. They had them at the Shriner's hospital in SLC where he had his leg surgeries and she said he would ride them with both of his feet casted all around the play area of the hospital. I had so many family members asking about it how much it cost, where to get them and thought they were just cool. They are definitely a hit with our family and I know they will be a huge hit in yours!

The PlasmaCar can be purchased online for $69.95, or click on their Retailers button to search for stores that have the PlasmaCar near you! Don't forget to check out all of the products that PlaSmart offers. Keep up with the latest from PlaSmart on Twitter and become a Fan on Facebook. After using this I became a follower and a fan on both twitter and facebook. I cant wait to hear of what they come up with next!

Charco Caps review & Giveaway ends aug 14

So with summer here we all eat a lot of foods that cause us bloating and gas well never fear Ive found the solution! CharcoCaps Homeopathic Antigas Formula is the solution! I have issue with IBS and digestion problems and my husband just gets gas alot and so does my mom so I was excited to try this. I know that sounds bad to be excited about gas medicine but I was. I love Homeopathic medicines but it SO much more natural to our bodies even though some can be dangerous too.

I gave it a try before one of our great BBQ ribs, watermelon and beans , which is all foods I have to eat sparingly with my digestion issues, and I must say it worked wonders. I had no cramps, gas, bloating or pressure pains. I was sold! My husband tried it also and he said,"I didn't think it would work especially eating beans. I didn't get the farts so I guess I was wrong." Now I'm double sold. My mom even said it helped with her belching which is a great thing. Yes I have a strange disgusting family but you got to love them right? LOL. Charco Caps is a keeper in this house and we will be going back for more when this runs out! http://www.charcocaps.com/

Company info:

CharcoCaps helps naturally relive gas discomfort, pressure and bloating since it is made of activated charcoal, which helps adsorb gas and the embarrassing odor. It’s also great to take when flying since it helps eliminate jet bloat. However, since gas is an embarrassing topic, even though everyone passes it about 14 times a day, I also have tips for an informational post, including a new downloadable food diary that can help people determine what foods/beverages may be causing the gas. With BBQ season upon us, traditional barbecue fare often leaves us feeling gassy.http://www.charcocaps.com/

Charco Caps is giving one of my reader a box to try for themselves! Isn't that great!

energizer

There are so many things that could happen out there to turn your life upside down like Hurricanes, Wild Fires, Floods,Tornadoes, and Earthquakes . Well you cant prevent them from happening but you can be prepared! Energizer is here to help!

Energizer is participating in the Power Through It All campaign to encourage families to keep an emergency kit ready to go. Energizers kit comes in a cute red bag and includes: Energizer® Ultimate Lithium AA batteries,Energizer® Energi To Go® cell phone charger, Energizer® MAX® Batteries (AA, C and D),Energizer® Weather Ready® 2 LED Flashlight, Energizer® EZ Change® , Energizer® 2032 Watch Batteries, and a small radio.

My favorite items in the kit is the cell phone charger and the Energizer Weather Ready flashlight. Those two things would be the things I would forget or not be able to find in a emergency. The Cell phone charger I wouldn't even think to grab just not something you think about in a emergency but it is a real life line to have. The flashlight my kids always take off with them and run the batteries down so can never find it either. I love that it is all in this great red carry all bag. I added some other things to my emergency bag like tuna fish, small blanket, energy bars, couple bottles of water , emergency phone numbers and addresses, Phone card, health lists for the family and etc. and now it is sitting up in my storage room ready for any emergencies. I hope Ill never need it but I feel soo much better now that I am a little more prepared. Thank energizer for this amazing kit.

Energizer is giving one of my lucky readers a kit for their own which is awesome!

Love this had to share!

Ok so I read this on another site and had to share it with everyone!

You Know You’re a Parent When…

Your email signature reads “Do What I Say. Not What I Do.”
You decide to trade in your convertible for a minivan and cry the whole way to the dealership.
You've fixed someone’s hair with spit.
You've paid a costumed character to show up at your house.
No one calls you by your first name anymore. Now you’re simply known as someone’s Mom.
There's an entire box of cereal buried in the cracks between your car seats. And you’ve considered eating it while waiting in the carpool line.
Instead of goodnight kisses, you now get goodnight text messages.
At least once a week you ask yourself “Whose kids are these?”
You've threatened competitors at the school science fair.
You find yourself wearing your pajamas for a coffee run or to drop off the kids. It’s not like you have time to get out of the car anyway.
You've been to soccer practice, ballet and story time all before 11am.
Most of your advice starts with “When I was your age.”
You have to explain how math will be useful some day.
Sleeping late means 8:15 am.
You read more than one parenting blog a day.
You realize your parents only come visit to see the grandkids.
You wipe anyone’s mouth other than yours.
You've hosted a graduation party for an 11-year-old.
You talk about bodily functions more than most doctors.
You occasionally forget to bathe.
You want to tell your kids about the birds and the bees, but you can’t remember the last time you did it.

Hahaha soooooooooooooooooo True!!!!!

Girly Baby Headband review

With 5 girls we have a lot of girl hair things from bows, headbands, flowers, korkers, barrettes and etc. I've tried to make some which I have and do but I love getting more for my girls. I also love them for my photography company also. When we got the cute crochet headband with the big white daisy all decked out with jewel and a little lady bug my girl were in awe. The first thing out of their mouth is I want to wear it first! So had to schedule who, what and when just for a hair piece go figure. I want to use it for my little teacup prop with my littlest one to do a photo opp ha ha but she has been up to photos lately darn.http://www.winkelf.com/girlybaby
I love the crochet black headband. It is so stretchy and fit every size head. It is adorable and doesn't make my girls sweat like the nylon ones. The flower is gorgeous. I love big flowers and to top it of with all the jewels and ladybug just really completes the look! It truly is adorable. It is gonna be a big hit at school I already know since flower are the new in thing at our school. So I'm gonna have to stock up on more for my girls. You should definitely go check out Girly Baby stuff! Girly Baby has hats, t shirts, onsies, hair barrettes, bows, personalized shirts, flowers, tutus, diaper cover and sooo much more! I could spend a fortune there if my hubby would let me ha ha. Check them out at http://www.winkelf.com/girlybaby

OFF's Clip-on Mosquito Repellent review

We got to try OFF Clip -on and i was so excited to try them. I am allergic to the spray on kind so I wondered if I could use this especially since mosquito's love me. These are a battery-powered fan circulates repellent around you to create a personal, unscented shield against mosquito's. Clip it on your belt loop or rest it on a flat surface next to you and you'll be good to go for 12 hours, all without putting anything directly on your body. Take that, mosquito's! That is what I loved. I hate the greasy lotions and spray and now the wipes that smell disgusting and leave you feeling gross. I mean I use it for the kids and family but I cant used them so I usually suffer or I sit right next to the candles ha ha.

It did have a slight smell but wasn't too over powering and gross which is great. It wasn't too noisy. I like you could put them on the table next to you and not have it on you always and it still protected for up to 12 hours. I love that it is refillable also. We used it while at a car show and at home for BBQ's and it work wonders. I didn't get bite once. So with summer here and all the outdoor fun going on you should definitely try OFF Clip-on and stay safe from the West Nile and those pesky , itchy bites!http://www.offprotects.com/clip-on-mosquito-repellent/

Certain Dri review

So I got the chance to test out the Certain Dri Solid Anti-Perspirant and in this family we sweat alot so it was something i wanted to try not only for me but also for my husband and my mom. When i first used it I smelled it because that's just me i smell everything. I love good smelling things. It has a baby powder smell which was OK with me better than others out there i have smelled and gaged ha ha. It is a solid and white so i was nervous with that because white tends to get all over my shirt but surprisingly it actually did go on clear and didn't get on my clothes. It left me drier and fresher all day even after all day in the hot sun doing photos which is great.

My husband wasn't fond of the smell but tried it anyways and it also kept him drier all day and smelling fresher too. That is a wonderful things for me he he. My mother also tried it and was pleased. She normally uses a deodorant stone which she swears by but she exactly said she would use this too! That is a great compliment from my mother ha ha!

Overall Certain Dri has worked so far with our family and i think its worth a try at least in your family. so check it out at local retailers near you and http://www.certaindri.com/Pages/CD_Home.
Here is some company info:

While you may feel that excessive underarm perspiration is your problem, alone, there are millions of people --women and men, of all ages and races -- who suffer from this condition, known as axillary hyperhidrosis. Now, with Certain Dri® Anti-Perspirant with New! 72 Hour Protection from excessive underarm sweating, also available in new solid application and new Certain Dri A.M.™ Underarm Refresher – The Certain Dri® Protection System™– you can raise your arms again...with confidence. Soft Lips review & giveaway ends aug 7

So at my house we go through alot of chapstick with dance, soccer, school, dry chapped lips, and little ones eating them! I hate the cheap waxy ones that leave a thick coat of wax on your lips! Well Soft Lips is different. It is a great way to keep your lips soft, moisturized, and blocked from the sun. Those are the most important things in my home to us! It is small, sleek and convenient to bring anywhere you go. It fits in your pocket, purse, backpack, or where ever. http://www.softlips.com/
Soft lips has 20 SPF which is great for all your summer activities. You'll know your protected! There are SO many flavor to choose from too. Cherry, Vanilla mint, Coconut cream, peach, mint, Passion fruit, pina colada and that just some of the great flavors! My favorites are the Vanilla mint and the coconut cream! They even have organic ones which is something I didn't know. That is great! Also if you like a little color with your chapstick they have tinted softlips to still get that soft protected lips with a little bit of color. So yes they have it all! I have been using them for a couple weeks now and my lips are smooth, soft, and are not peeling anymore. I love it!

My overall opinion of Soft lips is awesome! The best chapstick Ive ever used! I am definitely a dedicated user now and forever! I would recommend it to anyone and everyone even kids. It is safe for everyone so check Soft lips at retailers everywhere! http://www.softlips.com/

Tips for living well

As you know, millions of Americans are overloaded with responsibilities and distractions, and although they try to stay healthy from a physical standpoint by eating well, exercising, and getting enough sleep, they are only nurturing their bodies, but neglecting to nurture their minds and spirits as well.

Marlise Karlin (www.marlisekarlin.com), a person just like you and me who focuses on rebooting people by experiencing The Simplicity of Stillness®, offers simple tips for living life well that cost nothing, but are invaluable in making the journey of life more enjoyable and balanced.
Marlise offers Five Tips for Living Life Well:

#1: Breathe Into the Moment
In the midst of a busy day, take a few moments to find stillness. Slow your pace, breathe deep, and refocus your attention away from the mind-chatter. Instead, reflect on what is most meaningful to you in life, and carry those inspirational thoughts with you throughout your day.

#2: Take Inspired Action
Being in constant reaction mode will leave you feeling exhausted & unfulfilled. After taking a moment of reflection and stillness, follow through with the necessary steps to achieve the goals you set forth for the day. If a disruption occurs, acknowledge it and look for a solution, rather than allowing it to derail you. Notice how your new focus helps you to stay on track with greater ease.

#3: Water Your Garden
Truly acknowledge the people in your life for the value they bring to you and the world. As with a garden, relationships need to be nurtured and appreciated. With even a sprinkling, the relationship will bloom – and the beauty of what is given will return to you tenfold. #4 Be Aware of Your Attitude

Notice how you feel and how you radiate those feelings outward. If you have a positive attitude, people will not only gravitate to you, but it might even help change the attitude of others from negative to positive. If you are projecting love, generosity and hope, others may follow your lead. Realize how what you give comes back to you!#5 Make Choices

Acknowledge that you have the ability to make choices that will keep you moving forward toward your overall vision, rather than letting other people, or life’s circumstances distract you from staying focused on what matters most. Choose what moves you toward your goals that give you the greatest rewards – inside and out.

“People are running at a hundred miles an hour, racing with the clock, trying to squeeze in ways to stay healthy and fit,” said Marlise Karlin. “It’s important to realize it only takes a few minutes a day to completely reboot ourselves by nurturing both mind & body to become more balanced and healthy.”

Baby Banana Cd by Debi Derryberry review

I had the awesome opportunity to review a fantastic kids CD by Debi Derryberry, and my kids loved it! My family is very music oriented with dance and singing so I love finding some great children's CD that are fun and get my kids moving and this definitely did that. The songs are wonderful and make it so easy to get up and dance to it. Debi created some very catchy, fun songs that were originally written for her son and my kids thank her for it!

What is truly wonderful about this CD is there is a mix of ballads, boogie, jazz, reggae and even Spanish music. After dancing all around the house to this wonderful CD your little one might be ready to just sit down and relax for a bit and that would be the perfect time for a story. Well, Debi Derryberry reads her book, Baby Banana and the Licorice Tree, at the end of this CD which is great for bedtime!

I love the different styles of songs on this CD and the great beat. It is so wonderful to hear my children listening to some good , clean, fun, entertaining music! I definitely recommend this CD to anyone that has children because they will love it and so will you!http://mybabybanana.com/

Here is a clip of one of the great songs

Here is the list of the songs on this awesome CD
