Happy Birthday to my Grace

Its has been 4 years since my Gracie baby was born and it seem like a week ago. She has always been a mama's girl. She is very extremely shy. She is afraid of everything but she is my Grace Anne Marnae Jensen or for short Gracie Baby haha. She is not your typical girl. Why do I say this well because she love anything pirate and skull and cross bones. She loves hot pink and black. She loves Thomas the train. She loves unicorns. She is very particular with things we call her OCD. she has to have her bed made with her animals all lined up in a row on her bed. She color cordinates her candy. She takes her time to open her birthday presents being very careful not to rip the paper this is why I put everything in bags it make things alot faster for her lol. She loves video games. She likes to be left alone to do her own thing. She would of made a perfect only chuld lol. She loves coloring and making bead bracelets and yes they are color cordinated. She is a cuddler and a calm child and pretty quiet. Now if the other 5 kids could learn somethings from it that would be nice haha. She loves to help me clean and she will make sure the walls are spotless haha. She is my girl!!

4 years ago she came into this world 3 weeks early. The pregnancy was a hard one I dilated to 2 centimeters at 16 weeks after having a siezure the hospital told me to go home that I was having a miscarriage. From that point on I went to a specialist every 2 weeks for ultrasounds and check ups. She was strong and not giving up that easily. She was stubborn then and no one was gonna tell her what she was gonna do. She was born June 29 weighing in at 6lbs 14 ounces and 21 inches long. She was healthy other than a little jaundice from being early. She had a full head of black hair that stood straight out. It was soo cute.

to think that was 4 years ago blows me away. She is starting school in August and is so smart. I cant wait to see what the future holds for her. I know she is strong will and determined so she will get far in life. I just hope she doesnt grow up to fast!! Happy Birthday Gracie Baby We love you so much!!!

The Food Allergy Mama's Baking Book review

Some of you know I have a 2 year old that is allergic to all Dairy (Casein, Whey, Milk) and Oats (rolled oats, Oat flour). We found this out in December and our lives have changed since. It is now a longer trip at the store for grocery shopping since we have to read every single thing we buy to make sure there are none of these in the items we buy. This includes foods, soaps, lotion and etc. This really limits what she can eat. There are very few cereals, soups, frozen foods,  pastas, and etc that don't have some type of Dairy or Oat in it. She is on Soy milk and products but we are trying to find more stuff for her. It's hard. I have to make things myself or change the recipes from milk to water or whatever so that she can eat it. So when I heard about Food Allergy Mama's baking cookbook I had to have it. I thought to myself wow how could she have a whole cookbook that is Dairy, Egg, and Nut free? But she does and she talks alot about recipes and her life with her son with allergies on her blog which I love.

When I received the book I couldn't wait to look through it and find some recipes to make for my daughter and well for the whole family. There are some recipes I cant use because they contain oats but that's OK because there are alot that don't. Food Allergy Mama's Baking book makes me even lick my lips looking at the yummy pictures and reading the recipes. I know your thinking they must taste bland with out dairy, egg and nuts but really you would never notice. There are dairy free butters, and dairy free chocolates and not all of them are soy. My husbands work makes delicious all natural chocolates that are 100% pure chocolate with no milk or dairy just 100% cocoa. It is delicious!

I was very impressed with the recipes and the desserts that I can make for my daughter and my family without worrying about her getting sick from them. I mean really she is 2 how could you deny a child dessert at that age? Now I can make muffins, Cakes, breads, waffles, cookies including her favorite chocolate chip cookies all without Dairy and oats. I love that feeling.

We made the Berry Muffins and they were delicious. My husband didn't even know they were dairy free. They tasted just like a normal muffin. We also made of course the chocolate chips cookies and they were another favorite. So soft chewy and sweet and yummy. My daughter loved it and with her chocolate covered smile I knew she was in heaven with that delicious cookie. The best part these recipes and ingredients for them are fairly cheap and reasonable and pretty easy to find if you know where to look. I am extremely pleased with the book. I hope to see a sequel to the book with main dishes and sides. If Kelly Rudnicki (the Author) makes one Ill be one of the first to buy it. Best part of Food Allergy Mama's Baking book is it is only $19.95. If you ever bought a cook book you know they can get expensive so seeing that this was only less then $20 I was shocked. I was sold!!

So if you have someone in your house that has food allergies or you just want to eat healthier and more natural then you must head over and check this book out you will absolutely love it. I did! I cant wait to try more recipes!

New episodes of High Drama 2

You probably remember me writing about  my new favorite online show “High Drama 2” series that started on the WB last week. Well, you can now see episodes 6-10 online. Which includes the final production of their big show! Trust me it is fantastic. You definitely need to watch all 10 episodes they are something I could actually watch on TV weekly even daily. I love it!

The kids in the show have been up and down the roller coaster of preparing for the show of their life and I felt for all of them. You got to see their personal side and get to know them like they were old friends. That alone is what makes this show special. The one character I most relate to is Tony. He has a learning disorder which makes it hard for him to concentrate and hard to learn things. He is a visual learner so learning his lines are extremely difficult for him all because of a simple disorder but he tries his best and does 200% because that's what it takes to overcome it and do what he loves to do. I was the same way and will always be the same way but not with a learning disability but with medical conditions like seizures, migraines, kidney issues and the list goes on and on. The lady doing tests on me one day looked at my chart and looked at me and said she thought the chart belong to a 80 year old. I said thanks lol. I have always wanted to be a nurse since elementary school and I took every class in school I could to help me. I always got good grades and did all my work. If I miss a week or two of school because of my illnesses I always got caught back up. When I signed up for colleges the counselors would say really you want to be a nurse with your medical issues. I would say of course that why I want too. They were like maybe you should do a clerical position in the health care area I mean what if you have a seizure while working on a patient. I thought about it and I struggled a bit but really I know I can do it. I just have to try harder and push further and be more cautious. So just like Tony on High Drama 2 we both can continue to do what we love it just means we have to work harder.

You should definitely check out this 10 episodes of High Drama 2 .  I know you fall in love with these kids like I did. "High Drama 2" is an original web series, view it now on TheWB.com.

Fleet Pedia-lax Fiber Gummies review and giveaway end 7-16-closed

My kids eat alot of fruits but not so much veggies and grains so I worry they aren't getting enough fiber in their diet at times. I know personally some of the fiber supplements are nasty out there. So when I heard about Pedia-Lax Fiber Gummies I was intrigued to try them. My kids love the gummy vitamins so I figured they would think they were the same thing.

When I got them and they see them they did automatically think yay gummy vits. I didn't have the heart to tell them different haha. I gave each of them one and they ate it up like they were candy. My youngest wanted more but I had to say no its medicine only one. They liked the taste and I felt better that they were getting extra fiber in their diets. I must say after watching them eat them I want to see how they taste since I am suppose to be on a high fiber diet and I have tried multiple kinds of fiber supplement to turn around and throw them away because they were nasty haha. I ate one and was shock no nasty after taste and no dry mouth. No bad no they need to make them in adults dosages lol.

So if your worried about your kids getting enough fiber pick up some Pedia-lax fiber gummies at Walmart, Target and most drug stores  and grocery stores or order them on line through Pedia-Lax Fiber Gummies.

Neutrogena UltraSheer Liquid Sunblock review

With summer right around the corner and the weather getting nice to spend alot of time outdoors its time to start thinking about sunblock and skin protection. Skin cancer is become more and more of a big deal and more people are getting it. Leading cause is the sun. Most sunblocks only go up to 45 or 50 SPF, which is good but isnt 70 SPF better? I would say so especially when it comes down to my kids.

So when I got to try out Neutrogen's Ultra Sheer Liquid Sunblock I was shocked to see that it was 70 SPF. I loved that I could wear it under my makeup and it wouldnt leave my face greasy or too shiny. I ultimately love that it was waterproof beacause we play in the water alot during the summer and have to reapply a lot of sunscreen because of it. Now not only do I get to spend more time playing and less putting sunscreen on I also save money as well.

Overall in the few days of using it while outside. I havent broke out and havent been greasy. It was light and easy to put on. I didnt get any sunburn and I knew I was safe. I recommend this Sunblock to everyone. YOu should really head out and get yours before spending time outdoors.

Thursday Blogging

I have been crazy lately with Summer the kids out and my oldest 2 leaving for a month and house cleaning and so much more things that need done I really am going in circles haha. So whats your least favorite chore?? Mine is Laundry! Its one of those chores that never ends. You think yay i did my last load and turn around and see 3 more loads. really its not the washing part that sucks I mean I wish I had a new washer and dryer nothing fancy just something that didnt leak and washed better but I dont so I deal haha. I hate folding and putting the clothes away. I got like 20 loads folded sitting in the laundry room waiting to go to kids rooms to put away. I am slacking. The other thing I hate about laundry is stains I have honestly tried every soap , detergent, stain remover I can find and nothing takes the kids stains out like juice, formula and dirt. They ruin all the new clothes I buy with stains. I really am thinking of buying everything white cause then I can soak them in bleach even though it weakens them after a few times and then the rip oh well you cant win either way.

The other thing I hate doing is dishes. My dish washer broke so I have to wash everything by hand and it sucks. I miss a dish washer. Also I hate cleaning the bathroom tub and floors it really sucks I mean the tub and sink and toliet aint bad with my Soft Scrub total but the floors suck I think I might have to bleach them. The grout is disgusting.

So what are you chores you hate? What chores take over your day? Do you have any house hold secret that make cleaning easier or get stains out?

Ecover Review

With 6 kids I clean alot. There are always crumbs and sticky spots on the floor. The counters are always a mess. The tables are sticky or slimy. The bathroom are gross. Then don't get me started with laundry my most hated chore of all. To top it off I have very weak lungs to most cleaning detergents and supplies. Its hard to find some that don't kill my lungs and that actually get my house clean. So when I stumbled across Ecover and seen no harsh chemicals, all natural and safe for the environment I was intrigued in how their products worked.

I got the Ecover All Purpose Cleaner in Lemon Fragrance. I am frugal so I like multipurpose cleaner so I don't have to buy 10 different cleaner to clean my house. If I can get away with only having 1 or 2 cleaners then that saves money, time and space. The Lemon fragrance was fresh and not very strong which I loved. It left your house smelling like lemon drops and clean. It is concentrated so you don't need a whole lot so this bottle will last quite a while.

I loved that it was made from plant based ingredients. I liked that the bottle was 100% recyclable. I liked that it was safe for septic tanks. I put some with water in a spray bottle and cleaned my counters, stove, sink, fridge and floors. It left everything clean, shiny and fresh smelling. Next to tackle the bathroom. It did great for the mirrors and the sink and the counters and floors. I did still have to use my soft scrub for the bathtub since my water is hard and my kids are filthy so my tub is gross.

Overall I loved Ecover All Purpose cleaner. I would definitely continue to use it and buy it again. It is a great value for the price and the scent is wonderful. so head over and check out all their products. Also check them out on Twitter and Their Blog .

High Drama 2 on TheWB.com

High Drama 2 follows the Theater company of Freedom High School in Bethlehem, Pennsylvania, as they put on their best show yet: The Wizard of Oz. Now The Wizard of Oz was one of me and my nieces favorite shows as a kid. We loved the songs, the characters and especially the Dancing. Now my kids love it. So I cant wait to see the rest of the episodes to see how it turns out. I am already hooked after watching the first 5 episodes. It takes me back to High School and makes me smile and laugh because some of my friends were in the Drama club and I see some of them in these characters of High Drama 2.

Like I said I have watched 5 episodes so far and am hooked. I cant wait to see the new episodes on their website. My favorite episode so far is Season 2 : episode 1 Auditions. I know that sounds weird but I love seeing auditions for all shows. I think it also reminds me of high school all my friends in the beginning of the school year auditioning for something in school. Some of them auditioning for plays, some for cheer, and some for band, Even some for student counsel. I swear I think high school is just a big audition. I mean really even if you don't try to get into a club or organization you still are pretty much auditioning for college. The Girls Jackie and Leanna really reminded me of me and my best friend in high school.

In High School I auditioned for Junior Varsity cheer and my best friend auditioned for both Varsity cheer and for the Shakespeare play. We practiced daily I helped her with her lines and we helped each other with our jumps and spirit cheers. When audition day came I remember me and her sitting their eyeing everyone up. Checking to see what our competition was. I remember thinking well she has a chance, she will never make it, she definitely made it, and are you kidding me? type thoughts were running through my head watching each audition. I know I did my best even thought I made one mistake and on my cart wheel I lost my grip on my hands and slipped and fell. But I knew I did my honest best and I worked hard and everyone makes mistakes. My friend did awesome and I was proud of her. The next day when the sheets came out saying who made it and I seen my little mistake cost me getting picked and some one else get picked instead including my friend I was devastated. I wanted to cry. I work so hard all summer and messed up and lost my chance. I was happy for my friend making it to Cheer and the Shakespeare play but deep down I was very jealous. It took me a couple days to come around and realized it wasn't the end of the world and I got into other thing that I loved just as much if not more. This is kind of the same thing Jackie and Leanna went through in this episode so it got me reminising lol.

In Season 2 episode 1 "auditions" I seen the kids try their best and some mess up and some do awesome. I seen the stress they were going through and I knew what they felt and how emotional it is. This episode is why I got hooked mentally, emotionally and now I cant miss a episode!

"High Drama 2" is an original web series only available on TheWB.com . So head over and check them out. They are short only between 4 and 7 minutes long each episode. Let me know what you think about them and tell me if you can relate to any of the episodes.

Guidecraft review and giveaway ends July 9-closed

If your looking for great kids toys, kids furniture and etc. If you want to do the kids room or play room in a theme. Well I got the perfect store for you. Its called Guidecraft. They have everything you need and more.

I decided to get the Pirate Collection table & chairs for my almost 4 year old for her birthday which will be 29th of June. She is in love with Pirates and all. I know not your typical girl lol. But that's my Grace haha.
When it arrive it was in a huge box that was extremely heavy and battered up. That's our postal service for you but I must say it arrive pretty fast which was great as well. Me and my son dragged it into the house and down the stairs which I must tell you was definitely a chore. I really couldn't believe how heavy it was and I hoped that after all is bumps and scraps that the inside of the box was protecting the table and chairs.
Next me and my hubby sat down and opened the box to put it together. Me and my hubby were surprise how great the packaging was everything was wrapped in foam paper and tapped. there was Styrofoam and cardboard holding all the piece still. So no matter how beat up and torn up the box was the stuff stayed perfect. That is awesome!!
Next we put out all the pieces and looked at the directions but I must say there was very few pieces and it was all self explanatory. You could look at it and tell where all the pieces go. From Unpacking to finish it took maybe at the most 30 minutes. We were shocked on how easy and fast it was to put together. We wish my hubby's desk and filing cabinet was that easy.
The finished table and chairs were beautiful. I almost wanted to keep them for myself for my photography. My husband even wanted them. He loved the colors of the paint. I loved the little details on the table and chairs. We both love how sturdy the table and chairs were. You could definitely tell the difference from our last table and chairs set we bought at walmart that last maybe 2 years if that and this set. I expect this set to outlast the kids. It is solid wood and very heavy. The paint looks like it shouldn't chip easily. This is a beautiful set from Guidecraft that I wont have to hide away from other people seeing it. It is so pretty I am tempted to leave it in my living room just so everyone can see it. Honestly it would just about match my furniture upstairs haha.
My daughters flipped over it. My youngest thinks it is hers and not her sisters. She does say the Pirates are Grace's but the table and chairs are hers haha. I see the fight beginning already thank goodness there are two chairs but my 5 year old wants to sit at it too and neither one of them will give up their sit for her. This was definitely one of her favorite birthday presents ever. Thanks Guidecraft.
Overall we love the beauty and quality of the Pirate table and chairs. It is definitely a great value for the price. Now I want to get the First Impressions Treasure chest and the Puppet theater. I am very Impressed with Guidecraft products, the packaging, shipping and everything. I don't have any complaints. If I must complain about something then the only thing I can think of which wasn't a big deal is the Letter labels on the parts didn't match the ones on the directions. So if it said part L into part J It ended up really being part F into I. But since I did say it was self explanatory you could tell which picture and part were the same. But other then that minor little thing I love it and the kids cherish it.

Guidecraft is giving one of my lucky reader a Pirate table and chairs. That is awesome!
