My kids love playing outside or at the parks. We have being really soaking up all of our outside time before it snows and we are stuck inside. The newest fun toy we have found to play as a family together is Aerobie Skylighter Lighted Disc. It is a light up Frisbee and so much fun especially when its getting dark out. We cant wait until next summer when we can play with them all evening long without freezing lol.

What makes Aerobie Skylighter Lighted Disc different then the rest? Well obviously it lights up and when it flies it looks like a glowing UFO haha. It also is the best flyer and has the best accuracy and length of flying then pretty much any other flying discs we have tried. It is durable and just to much fun. It is a awesome size and easy to hold onto for adults and children. It gives you great exercise as well lol. This has been a hit with out family since we have gotten it. Its definitely a fun toy that the whole family enjoys.

To learn more visit Aerobie.com for more information on the Aerobie Skylighter Lighted Disc (retails for around $15 and can be purchased at Sports Authority, Dick’s Sporting Goods, and most other sporting goods stores). Judy Moody and The NOT Bummer Summer review on DVD Oct.11

Judy Moody And The Not Bummer Summer

Extra Thrill Points Arrive on Blu-ray and DVD October 11th

Synopsis:
The first film adaptation of the beloved children’s book series, JUDY MOODY AND THE NOT BUMMER SUMMER, by Megan McDonald with illustrations by Peter H. Reynolds, is a delightfully, laugh-out-loud hilarious treat for adventure-loving kids, tweens and adults.

Feisty, fearless Judy Moody (Jordana Beatty) is looking forward to the most super-duper, double-rare summer vacation ever. The trouble is, her parents are called out of town and her BFFs are going away with their own families. That leaves Judy trapped at home with her pesky brother Stink (Parris Mosteller) under the watchful eye of Aunt Opal (Heather Graham). But with a little playful planning - and a lot of imagination - Judy turns a snoresville summer into the way-not-boring adventure of a lifetime!

The JUDY MOODY AND THE NOT BUMMER SUMMER Blu-ray and DVD comes with a collectible Judy Moody Activity Book complete with extrathrilladelic games, puzzles, activities and more. Additionally, each Blu-ray and DVD is packed with never-before-seen bonus features including a behind the scenes cast vignette, “10 Things You Didn’t Know About Judy Moody”, an exclusive Camryn Summer Music Video, and much more.

Our Opinion:
My kids loved it! My older daughters have read some of the books and loved those so they couldn't wait to see the movie. It was funny and cute and very entertaining. It teaches kids you don't have to go somewhere to have fun. You can use your imagination and have a blast right at home. This is definitely a great family movie that your whole family will love and laugh with. So definitely check it out if you haven't already!

Nutrisystem Nation- Week 11

Yep I'm back with this weeks progress report of my Nutrisystem weight loss journey. It has now been 11 weeks. I did pretty awesome this I think. I exercised 3 times this week for 30 minutes. I ate right and no junk food other than a cupcake at my daughters birthday but I only had one and no ice cream. I felt better and felt confidence this week.
I ate my Nutrisystem stuff this week and nothing to complain about other than I wish there was more variety for lunch that I like. Everything tasted great and filled me up. I wasn't hungry most the time so that's good. I am really loving the scones and muffins for breakfast cause I am always running around in the morning so don't have time to cook anything and those are so yummy and perfect for the go with my coffee. I must say for my coffee I use fat free creamer and Agave for the sweetner not sugar so that's a plus. I really feel good this week about the whole dieting and exercise thing. I think I can do this!

Ramen to the Rescue cookbook

I must admit There has been times I don't want to cook much or the only thing in the house was Ramen. When I was with my Ex-husband,  me and my 2 kids lived off WIC foods and Ramen noodles and whatever was very cheap since he never gave us money to buy food. I got very creative with what I had. So when I heard about a new recipe book called Ramen to the rescue I wasn't surprised at all but I was intrigued to see what others have come up with.

I was lucky enough to receive the book for a review and trust me some of the recipes I thought I would never of thought of. Honestly there are appetizers, breakfasts, main dishes, sides, and even desserts. Yep I said it ramen for dessert ha ha! There is quite alot of noodles recipes, stir fry recipes, and soup recipes that sound yummy and obvious for Ramen. Then there are things like Ramen noodle pizza, ramen omelets, or ramen noodle pudding that made me say ewww ha ha. There are quite a few interesting ones I have to try to see how they are because I'm on the fence about them like butterscotch cranberry mounds or Asian cabbage slaw. They sound good but we will see ha ha. I love the green coconut curry shrimp bowl recipe yummy!

Overall this 231 page recipe book all to do with ramen has really intrigued me on how to take a simple and cheap item and make a delicious meal out of it for very cheap. That is important to me with a family or 8 on a extremely tight budget. This book is very worth having and reading and trying. So if your a ramen fan or on  tight budget you have to check out this book. Even if your not a fan these recipes might give you a whole new outlook on ramen! So check out Ramen to the rescue recipe book today!

Land O'Frost Wrap kits healthy and yummy!

As you know Me and my family have been trying to eat healthier but I must tell you we are not giving up taste for healthier lol. So we always try to find low calorie foods that still taste awesome. Land O'Frost has these new wrap kits out and they are healthy and delicious. I was lucky enough to get 2 to review but honestly I would have bought them to try them either way since we love wraps.
We got the black forest ham and Swiss  Land O'Frost wrap kit along with the Oven Roasted turkey and Pepper jack kit and I am still trying to find the Chipotle turkey and cheddar one at the store to buy because it sounds yummy too. My kids are kind of picky eaters well mainly my 3 youngest and they loved them. Even my 3 year old liked them and she eats nothing I swear haha. She is now a big bread person so the tortilla was alot better to her. Me and my husband were surprised how soft and fresh the tortillas were and the the generous helpings of meat and cheese that they give you to put on each wrap. One kit makes a total of 5 wraps so that is great and they are a very good size too. Best part is they are only 230 calories per wrap which for lunch meat and cheese and stuff is awesome.

So if you have a family that loves sandwiches or wraps you have to check out  Land O'Frost new Wrap kits. They are delicious! They would make great h'orderves for parties as well. Just wrap them slice them smaller and mini wraps. Yes I am thinking Holiday parties! So head out to your local grocery and pick some up today. You will be glad you did!

Nutrisystem Nation- Week 10

Yep I'm back with this weeks progress report of my Nutrisystem weight loss journey. Can you believe its been 10 weeks? I cant believe it. It seems like yesterday I started this system. This week was alot easier. I ate what I was supposed to minus a few of the vegetables and dairy/proteins and I didn't drink enough water but overall I didn't cheat with any junk food. Not saying the cotton candy at the kids carnival or the snow cones weren't very tempting because man they were.
I did exercise a little more this week but still not as much as I should. I swear its so hard for me to fit in exercise for 30 minute when I am busy 25 hours of the day and there is only 24 lol. I have started while cooking dinner I do squats or leg lifts. I also jog to the the mailbox and back as well. So I try to fit something in while I work lol. Not much but something is better than nothing!
Food this week was ok. Honestly I still love the pizzas plus some of the other dinners and most of the breakfasts. Lunch is the hard one for me. I wish they had a few different items for lunch. I eat the 3 cheese chicken pasta, the Italian wedding soup, fudge graham bar, and the hot dogs. Honestly after a few weeks I am getting worn out on them so I tend lately not to eat a Nutrisystem lunch entree and just have a salad or some vegetables and maybe a small piece of chicken breast or something that usually goes with the lunch entree. But other than that the food has been great and very filling.

week 9 122.5lbs loss of 1/2lb down 7.5 lbs since started
week 10 121lbs loss of 1.5 lbs down 9lbs since started

I am so excited that I loss this week. I tried so hard.Honestly when I got on the scale I didn't expect it to change much but 1 and 1/2 pounds is awesome. I am 1 pound away from my 10lb mark then I can expand it to a 15lbs mark but for my 12 week goal I said 10lbs so about 1 pound a week and I am almost there and that is awesome. To lose 9lbs in 2 1/2 months is quite a accomplishment. As most of you know I am studying to be a nurse and this semester I am studying nutrition and I have learn alot and one is a good healthy weight loss is 1 to 2 lbs a week so I am doing great. So I am proud of myself this week and hoping next week to be able to tell you I made it to my goal fingers crossed!

Nutrisystem Nation- Week 9

So its that time again for my weekly post about my Nutrisystem weight loss journey.Another week down Awesome! So week 9 ugh lol! Its been a tough week. I have been sick, had my oldest 2 teeth removed and orthodontist appointment, my 7years olds check up appointment, all of our flu shots done and my cats shots done. So yes a busy long week! I stook to the diet though but not alot of exercise going on this week either.

The food this week was yummy since I got my new shipment and all stuff I choose this time so I knew I liked it all haha. I love the blueberry muffins and apple strudel scones for breakfast and their great on the go. Lunch I like the hot dogs and the three cheese pasta and chicken. Dinner I usually eat the pizzas with a salad and I am satisfied. I love the thin mint crunch bars are amazing. So I did pretty well with the food this week. I didn't have too many cravings for other things this week which was wonderful. I did exercise 5 to 10 minutes everyday to be at least something lol even though I wanted to curl up in bed all day. I am still getting over my head cold and migraine. So that's this weeks challenge haha!

Results so far
Starting 130lbs
week 1 128lbs loss of 2lbs
week 2 126lbs loss of 2lbs
week 3 127lbs gain of 1lb still down 3lbs overall

week 5 124lbs loss of 2lbs down 6lbs since started

week 8 123lbs loss of 1/2 lb down 7 lbs since I started
Week 9 122.5lbs loss of 1/2lb down 7.5 lbs since started

This week I know I lost more but I am retaining alot of water right now and that isn't helping and being sick wasn't helping either. I know though I did have to tighten my belt this week even more. I know I am down a whole pants size and that makes me very happy too. 3 more weeks to go and my goal is to hit that 10lb mark by than and I can do it I know it!

Boozy Ice cream yep I think so- Ice Cream Happy Hour recipe book review

I love ice cream and I am a mom that is over 21 so I like to have a drink every once in a while to relax me after a long stressful day. Sometimes we have friends over as well and its nice to make little adult only treats to share as well. So yes the ice cream and liquor gods answered me and came out with yep boozy ice cream. YAY! Ok so it wasn't the Gods actually but two woman chefs Valerie Lum and Jenise Addison. They made this awesome recipe book called Ice Cream Happy Hour 50 boozy treats you spike, freeze and serve.
I got the chance to review the book and I immediately was searching through the recipes to find ones I want to try. All of them sound heavenly. There were a few that stook out though like Cookies and cream with vodka, eggnog with brandy and rum, bahama mama and don't forget the mudslide sundae mmmm yep I'm drooling haha. The best part is they are all really easy to make and that's good for me because I don't have time to make something complicated when I want a treat. These will definitely be a hit on Girls night or adult game nights and such.

So if your over 21 and love ice cream you should definitely check out this recipe book called Ice Cream Happy Hour. You will love the recipes and the taste is to die for. Definitely a perfect adult treat for a long day. So check it out. You will be glad you did especially with the holidays coming up!

Bridemaids House party aftermath

I don't get alot of time to have Girls nights or even for me and my hubby to have adult movie nights either but when we do we try to have fun and invite our friends and just have a blast. So when I got to do a Bridesmaids house party I was pretty excited. We got decorations, Yellow tail wine, Tshirts, $100 gift cards for food and more drinks, as well as the awesome Bridesmaid DVD. We knew this was gonna be a fun party!
We all had a blast with drinks like PG 13 from the Yellow Tail recipe book as well as some of our own drinks like Long Island ice teas and rum and coke and my favorite the Yellow Tail sparkling rose wine and cranberry juice with a splash of sprite yummy! We had pizza and popcorn and sweet treats. We all got to sit down and watch the movie and laugh our butts off!
Synopsis of the movie:
“Gut-bustingly funny!”(Owen Gleiberman, Entertainment Weekly) From the producer of Superbad, Knocked Up and The 40-Year-Old Virgin comes the breakout comedy critics are calling “brazenly hysterical!” (Alynda Wheat, People). Thirty-something Annie (Kristen Wiig) has hit a rough patch but finds her life turned completely upside down when she takes on the Maid of Honor role in her best friend Lillian’s (Maya Rudolph) wedding. In way over her head but determined to succeed, Annie leads a hilarious hodgepodge of bridesmaids (Rose Byrne, Melissa McCarthy, Wendi McLendon-Covey and Ellie Kemper) on a wild ride down the road to the big event.
Our Opinion:
We loved the movie! We thought it was entertaining and funny. We thought oh my that is something I could see us doing lol. We loved that not only was it funny but there was a bit of romance in there too and really what girl doesn't love a bit of romance haha. This is definitely a movie worth watching time and time again so definitely buy it! 10 thumbs up from all of us!!!
Overall we had a blast at our party and we cant wait to have another adults only party again. Thanks to the people at Think Jam and Universal Home videos for letting us have this amazing home party. It was wonderful and a great stress reliever for sure! So if you haven't seen Bridesmaids movie yet you better get your butt out there and get your copy now and watch it! Trust me you will be glad you did!

Monte Carlo
Bluray/DVD on Oct. 18

Synopsis:
Bon Voyage! Take a journey across the ocean with a trio of friends who make front page headlines when a dream trip turns into a hilarious case of mistaken identity. The delightful jet-setting comedy MONTE CARLO arrives on Blu-ray and DVD on October 18th. Produced by Academy Award®-winner Nicole Kidman* (Moulin Rouge, The Stepford Wives), MONTE CARLO will take you on a fanciful ride through the picturesque sights of Europe - with three charming girls in tow!

Actress and pop sensation Selena Gomez (Ramona and Beezus, “Wizards of Waverly Place”) lights up the screen as Grace, a high-spirited high school graduate looking forward to a vacation in Paris with her best friend Emma (Katie Cassidy, “Melrose Place”), and stepsister Meg (Leighton Meester, “Gossip Girl”). Just as the girls think their trip is ruined when their hyperactive tour guide leaves them behind, Grace is mistaken for a wealthy socialite and the trio is whisked away to Monte Carlo for a thrilling week of glitz, glam, and unforgettable fun.

Our opinion:
My girls love Selena Gomez from Wizards of Waverly Place so they were excited to watch it. We did all sit down and watch it obviously with some popcorn and had a family movie night and we thought the movie was fun, interesting, funny and dramatic at parts. It kept us watching and we went through the ups and downs in the whole movie. The girls loved it and so did I. Definitely a great girls night movie because yes its more of a chick flick but my son did watch it even after a little convincing to sit and watch it but with in about 15 minutes he was into it just as much as us girls lol. Shhh don't tell his friends that though haha! I definitely think this is a movie worth watching and buying.
We are giving one lucky reader a copy of Monte Carlo DVD and a Monte Carlo-branded purse hook yay!

Fundamiddles review and giveaway ends 10-21

My kids adore when I make special treats for treats. I try to mix it up when I do make treats like sometimes its brownies, sometimes cookies and so on. This time I got the chance to try the new FunDaMiddles and they looked like something my kids would love and would be less messy than traditional frosted cupcakes. Also I figured this would get my kids to actually eat the cupcake instead of just licking the frosting off haha.
Betty Crocker FunDaMiddles come in three varieties. Vanilla cake with a Vanilla cream center, Chocolate cake with a Vanilla cream center and Vanilla cake with a Chocolate cream center. I can’t wait to try the Chocolate varieties. We got the Vanilla cupcakes with vanilla frosting to try out and that was the main one I wanted to try. It didn't take many ingredients to make just some eggs, water and oil. You mix the ingredients and pour into the cupcake pan and then you squeeze the frosting stuff into the center of the batter in each cupcake then bake for about 24 to 29 minutes. My kids were so excited to try them after dinner. My younger ones didn't understand where the frosting was until I told them it is in the middle like a surprise and they were even more excited.

We loved them! My kids ate the whole cupcake which is rare. I love the rich vanilla taste and the sweet creamy middle. I will definitely buy these again! They were easy to make and really tasty. So if you have kids like mine that love special homemade treats for desserts you need to check out FunDaMiddles. You will be glad you did! You can get a 85 cent coupon HERE to help when you try these! That's awesome because they aren't that expensive to start with so this makes them extremely cheap!
I am giving one lucky reader a Betty Crocker FunDaMiddles prize pack that includes a box of the Fundamiddles, a cupcake pan, cupcake papers, a pot holder and cupcake gift notes.
