Carmex Lip Conditioner review

Since becoming a member of the Carmex BlogSquad I have received so many awesome products that I might have missed out on. I love that I get the opportunity to share the great stuff with you my readers. I have been using Carmex for years and it is amazing how much they have expanded their products and added so many more great quality products. So I couldnt wait to try their newest line.

I received the Every Day Lip Conditioner to review and I am in love with it and so is everyone else in my house! The Orange flavor is a huge hit and reminds me of the orange sherbert push pops. It is made with 13 moisturizing ingredients the lip conditioner goes on smooth and non-greasy. It absorbs fast leaving my lips soft and it's matte finish is great for wearing under lipstick. The convenient tube size is great for slipping into a small purse or for the guys to carry in their pockets for a quick lip pick-me-up. Great for stocking stuffers too! Whether you are in a hot sunny area or somewhere with winter winds and cold weather, I recommend trying the New Everyday Lip Conditioner to keep your lips protected. It is amazing just like all of Carmex's other products!

Xmas-Power Capes review and giveaway Ends 12-7

My kids love dressing up as super heros and saving each other. I think it is cute but blankets are to hard for them to keep on so I have to get them all superhero capes to play with. My favorite store to get them at is Powercapes.com.
This year for Christmas I got my youngest her first kids capes from Power Capes. I got my older two one from there a couple years ago and they love it and the capes are still in great shape and very durable to put up with all my girls put them through. So I knew this cape my youngest would love and it would withstand her. We got a cute green cape which she will love because it is a Buzz Lightyear color. I can't wait to see her face when she opens it.

If you have a little one who loves to dress up as a super hero or a adult because they make adults sizes too then you have to check out Power capes. You will love them!
We are giving one lucky reader a awesome Power Cape!

Xmas-Kmart Decorate it Forward - $15 Kmart GC Giveaway! Ends 11/30

It is about that time of year where we are all starting to get out our Christmas decor and put them up. I am the person that gets mine out every year on December 1st. Its our tradition and we love it. I like to add more and more decor every year to our collection and some to replace any that got broke or messed up over the year of being packed up. One of my favorite stores to get gorgeous decorations for cheap is Kmart.
So I headed out the other day to Kmart to Decorate it Forward. There aren't many Kmarts around anymore but I have one close enough and I love going to it. The employees are always helpful and I always find what I need and tons of things I want. The Christmas section was decorated beautiful and so organized. I love how the ornaments and stuff were all in color coordination so I find exactly the stuff that matches with my decor which is the blues, silvers, purples and etc. My only complaint would be there is too much stuff I want lol. I could honestly spend hundreds in decor just for the holidays. I found some pretty blue sparkly bows for my tree and a cute little snow man hanging picture that I knew I had to have. My next trip I know I want some ornaments this year for each of the kids and there was a memorial ornament I want to have for my nephew. I also seen and cute towel set and gift sets I think I might go back for too. I think Kmart is gonna be my number one Christmas gift buy stop this year because I found all the toys my kids want for way cheaper than the other stores. As well as pajamas and slippers.
So if you want to spruce up your Christmas decor and finish your gift shopping you have to check out Kmart. You will love their prices and their selection.
we are giving one lucky reader a $15 Kmart gift Card yay!

It is the biggest cooking season of the year with Thanksgiving and Christmas so what do you do to make your special dinners to stand out? I use San-J Sauces. I made some delicious orange chicken and a salad  as well as my teriyaki stir fry with some of the sauce and man it was awesome. It was just as good as going out to eat chinese. The best part of these sauces is that they are Gluten free and some are even organic. They are great priced and at my local supermarket. I cant wait to use some at thanksgiving on the turkey. These are definite must haves in the kitchen!

Xmas-Halo Oral Antiseptic Spray review and giveaway ends 12-1

The weather has changed and the cold is here. I'm so not ready for winter. If it was up to me I would have spring and summer all year long lol but that's not the case. With the cold weather here that means everyone in my house has began to get sick. With a household of 9 people right now colds seems to go around and around to each of the people and never ends. So when i got a chance to try Halo Oral Antiseptic spray I figured why not if it works wonderful and if it don't then at least we tried.

When we got it the flu had already began around our house so I gave the kids all 3 sprays of the children Halo spray in their mouth and kept my fingers crossed it helped. My kids didn't mind the taste much. It was suppose to taste grapes they say it taste like a grape medicine  but they didn't fight me to take it the next day so it cant be too bad. I gave me, my hubby and my mom all the sprays of the adult Halo spray. Out of the 9 people in our house only 3 people got the 48 hours stomach flu and I did the same for the next cold that started and only 2 of them got sick. Overall that impressed me enough to say yep this stuff helps and I bought more.

So if your looking for something to help your family not catch those icky germ bugs floating around this year you need to try Halo Oral Antiseptic spray. It is at Walmart, Walgreens and many other drug and department stores.

We are giving one lucky reader some of the Adults Halo Oral Antiseptic spray yay!

Grilled Brined Chicken with Garlic and Thyme

I love to cook new recipes especially with new flavors and ingredients  One of my favorite brands to cook with is Holland House Cooking Wines. I use the white wine for chicken, fish, seafood and some sauces and it is wonderful for flavor. I love the red wine, the balsamic vinegar and cooking sherry. They are some of the others that I use alot. All of Holland House cooking pruducts are wonderful and give every recipe extra delicious flavor. They are a must have in your kitchen! Check out this amazing recipe from Holland House.

Grilled Brined Chicken with Garlic and Thyme
Brine time 1 to 2 hours. Grilling time 10-14 minutes. Makes 4 servings.

 INGREDIENTS:
1 bottle (16 oz.) Holland House White Cooking Wine with Lemon
3 Tbsp. chopped fresh thyme or 1 rounded Tbsp. dried thyme, crushed
2 large cloves garlic, pressed through a garlic press
2 Tbsp. kosher salt See salt substitutions below
4 boneless skinless chicken breast halves (6 to 8 oz. each) see Kitchen Tips below

Directions:
1.Pour about 2/3 cup cooking wine into a glass. Stir in thyme and garlic.

2.Microwave on high 1 minute.

3.Cool to room temperature — at least 30 minutes, stirring once or twice. Or place glass in an ice water bath to chill faster; stir occasionally.

4.Meanwhile, stir salt into remaining cooking wine until completely dissolved. When cooled, stir brine “flavor infusion” and add to remaining cooking wine; stir.

5.Place chicken in a sealable plastic bag or non-metallic bowl. Pour brine over chicken so it is completely submerged. Cover and refrigerate 1 hour if chicken is thin, 2 hours if it is thick (1-inch or more).

6.Preheat grill to medium heat. Drain chicken and discard brine; do not rinse chicken.

7.Grill thin chicken breasts 6 minutes (8 minutes for 1” thick breasts) over direct heat with cover closed. Turn chicken, close cover, and grill 2-4 minutes more (about 4 minutes more for thick breasts).

8.Serve immediately.

 KITCHEN TIPS
Salt Substitutions For this grilled chicken recipe use: 2 Tbsp. Diamond Crystal kosher salt, or 1 Tbsp. + 1/2 tsp. Morton kosher salt, or 1 Tbsp. Morton table salt.

Large Chicken Breasts If parts of the chicken breasts are more than 1-inch thick, use a sharp knife to cut the thick end horizontally to make a smaller second piece. This ensures more even brining and cooking.

Cooking Wine If you cannot find Holland House White Cooking Wine with Lemon, add a teaspoon fresh lemon juice to Holland House White Cooking Wine.
