Now I love new recipes. I love buying new cook books. So I have alot of recipes but there is always more I want to try . I was lucky enough to receive a copy of How to Roast a Lamb by Michael Psilakis to review. I have never ate greek food other than Gyros with the cucumber yougurt sauce mmm yummy. I was intrigued by the cover and the interesting recipes.
I opened How to Roast a Lamb and read about the chef Micheal Psilakis and it inspired me that he was self taught and went so far. He is one of the top chefs and i see why now. I then got to some of the recipes and relized I could honestly make them. They were pretty simple recipes and easy enough to put together for my family, friends and even parties. I noticed the recipe for my yougurt cucumber sauce was in there now I have to make some Gyros lol. My mom loved all the recipes for lamb chops since those are her favorite and she lost her recipe for them. There are so many recipes I want to try. Here is a few of my favorites, Wild bitter greens, roasted peppers, grilled onions, oil marinated dried tomato & kefalotiri which is a salad basically with dried tomatos, and artichokes and onions mmm i love my salads so this looks yummy. Another one is the Artichoke and potato recipe mmm. last but not least since there are sooo many great yummy recipes but another one i want to try is Shrimp with orzo & tomato. The pictures are so real in the book also it makes your maouth water just looking at them.
Now you dont have to have eaten greek food to like this book since the is recipes for anyone and everyone. There are vegetable recipes, meats recipes, soups, salads, even sauce and spice recipes. I definitely recommend How to Roast a Lamb to anyone who loves to cook or just wants to change up their dinners and lunches a bit . There is definitely something you'll love it it!
