So I am a sucker for cute picture books especially ones with cute sayings in them. We have lots of baby ones, baby animals, and etc. My kids love them just as much as I do. So when I got the chance to check out Bear Portraits by Jill Greenberg I was so excited. I couldn't wait for it to arrive. I love all kinds of books but these kinds are my favorites.
So when it finally came I was in awe of just the cover. The bear was gorgeous. Being a photographer I was envious of her skills and loved her work. I can truly say she is a amazing photographer to get these great shots. She is very brave also ha ha.I loved the hardback book. I loved the colorful pictures. I adored all the expressions in the bears faces. I swear I could see what every bear was thinking in the photos. They saying fit perfectly. I love that their are sayings from Woody Allen, Tom Arnold, Shakespeare, Winston Churchill and more. Some of my favorite sayings were, "Never do anything standing that you can do sitting, or anything sitting that you can do lying down." and "I don't think my parents liked me. They put a live teddy bear in my crib." The pictures and sayings made me laugh, smile and feel their emotions.It was a great book!
My kids adored the book. Even my 19 month old loved the bears. She screamed bear bear bear every picture she seen. It was cute! the other 5 kids have looked at this book multiple times and still love it and read it over and over. They are completely fascinated by the pictures. I seen she also did a monkey picture book so I must get that one now and begin are collection of Jill Greenberg books.Bear Portraits is a must have and would make a great gift for any person in your family even the younger ones. It is definitely a hit in our house and will be treasured by our family. So check out Bear Portraits. You will love it!
