My Lemonade Stand Can't Stand Me: Poetry book for kids review

My teen and preteens love poetry and I love that they do. They love reading some of my poetry books but some of them they don't understand. So when I seen a poetry book for preteens I couldn't wait to get it for them. The book is called My Lemonade Stand Can't Stand Me.

About the book:
Imagine a lemonade stand that would rather run around instead of wait on customers. Or what if there was a ban on brothers, and sisters ruled the world? Exactly when does a crocodile become an alligator? If it started raining pie, would you run outside? And who, by the way, put that porcupine in that chair? Welcome to the wonderful, wacky world of My Lemonade Stand Can't Stand Me. Fifty poems guaranteed to elicit smiles, coax out chuckles, and get your guffaws going! Mark Lawton Thomas, has teamed up with master illusionist/illustrator, Jeehyun Hoke, to bring you a world of words you won't be able to forget.

Our Opinion:
My girls love it! My 8 year old, 10 year old and 14 year old have all read it and they adored reading it. They couldn't put it down. The poems relate to them and they are cute and funny. They are easy to read and will get your child into reading poetry. This is definitely a fun book for kids. Check it out today!
