Black Swan Now on DVD

As a family we love movies of all kinds. Obviously there are movies that are just for mommy and daddy. Me and my hubby try to sit down together after the kids go to bed and watch TV show or movies. It's our time! So when I received a review copy of Black Swan that released March 29, 2011 I was excited to sit down and watch it with him.

I was intrigued to see how the movie turns out since I seen the previews and thought this could be a movie I like Dancing, Thriller, life's lessons , Etc. This movie definitely was different. A good different but had you hooked from the beginning on. The End left us thinking and saying What???? It was a good movie but it had one of those endings you are like no think cant be the way it ends lol. I was impressed with the acting and all the twists and turns in the movie. It is definitely high action but definitely not for kids since there is alot of violence and sex scenes. But overall I was impressed and even recommended it to my mom who watched and liked it as well as said hmm with the ending. If you like Thriller and Dramatic movies you should definitely check this one out!

Movie Synopsis:
BLACK SWAN follows the story of Nina (Natalie Portman), a ballerina in the New York City Ballet trying to make it to the top. When artistic director Thomas Leroy (Vincent Cassel) decides to replace prima ballerina Beth MacIntyre (Winona Ryder) for the opening production of their new season, Swan Lake, Nina is his first choice. But a new dancer, Lily (Mila Kunis), also impresses Leroy and becomes Nina's competition. Nina fits the White Swan role perfectly with her innocence and grace, but Lily is the personification of the Black Swan with her fiery personality. As the two young dancers expand their rivalry into a twisted friendship, Nina begins to get more in touch with her dark side with a recklessness that threatens to destroy her.
