So what kinds of gifts do you give the neighbors or co workers and others that you really don't feel buying a huge gift for? I like to make things because honestly that's what they do and its cheaper and fun for the whole family. We have done cookie mix jars, candy, hot chocolate kits, cookies, homemade snowmen, and more. This year I got the greatest chance to do a Chex mix exchange party. This party sparked up so many ideas for gifts. It was a blast.

For the party friends and family came over and brought their favorite homemade Chex mix and the recipe. We all tried the different flavors and ideas and recipes. We then boxed them up in cute little take out boxes and done. Great little gifts to give out to that someone you don't know what to get. This was so much fun and we got to learn a ton of different recipes. We even got a few from the Chex website.

Chex PB & Chocolate Blast - Is there really a better combination than peanut butter and chocolate? Yes, when Chex cereal is added!

Chex Pumpkin Pie Crunch - Mix things up and try this mouthwatering alternative to the beloved holiday pie.

I haven't tried all these recipes yet but ooh they sounds delish. One of my husband favorite is puppy chow which is chex cereal, peanut butter and chocolate chips melted and mixed together then when chex is well coated cover in powder sugar. Yep a chocolate, peanut sugar overload but oh so yummy. I do make a healthier one with the chex cereals all three kinds, pretzels, raisins, craisins, nuts, dried fruits and some time m&ms. It is easy and a favorite with the whole family. Chex party Mixes are great for family get together, parties, and just to have around.  

The party was fun and we are planning on doing it again but this time instead of us eating it all we are going to get together to make them for our neighbors and coworkers and kids teachers. So it will be a gift making party lol. I mean I know we will be eating some as well because really who can help themselves around Chex mix haha. We are gonna try some new recipes as well. I think this is such a great gift idea and very reasonable priced. They best part even the kids can help make it and that makes the gifts so much more special! So remember Chex Mix this holiday and make some for yourself and others. It's a holiday hit!
